We came here because we had a couple of decades-worth of clowning around to catch up on.
Parking was fairly hard to come by on a busy Saturday, but luckily Circus Circus has some dedicated parking at the rear.
We walked in and immediately thought the red and gold decor was perfect for the theme and the clown statues hanging from the ceiling and at the door were great.
The most unusual thing on the menu was not relevant here, all fairly standard fare.
We ordered scrambled eggs with avocado salsa, served on toasted mixed grain bread ($15.90) and courgette and ricotta fritters with a mixed salad and topped with avocado salsa ($16.90), both judged to hit the spot.
The service was friendly enough, although they were flat out.
The coffee was slow to arrive but good.
We recommend if you come here go through to one of the rear rooms which are more spacious.
Overall we thought Circus Circus a fine cafe, though more could be made of the theme on the menu.
