We came here because it had been some time since Leanne's last visit and we'd heard there were new owners.
Parking was, as expected, like hens' teeth but we struck it lucky on a back road.
We walked in and immediately thought the mural was fantastic and the wealth of things to read and look at on the walls were very enticing.
The most unusual thing on the menu was the Cezanne Mess - more for the name than the promised three scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, capsicum, tomato, onion and spinach mixed on toasted foccacia.
We ordered the mess ($15.50) out of interest and found it fairly tidy and appealing. Leanne opted for the smoked salmon scrambled, which came with spinach, feta, mushrooms, capsicums, onion and tomato topped with sour cream and salsa on toasted foccacia ($16). When this arrived, it looked extremely similar to the "mess".
The service was friendly and efficient.
The coffee was very good, inspiring us to return for seconds. The blackboard menu for coffee choices was comprehensive and required choices to be made.
We recommend if you come here you allow yourself time to sit and enjoy the atmosphere, while challenging yourself to try a coffee other than your normal.
Overall we thought a return visit for more coffee and sampling the cabinet fare would be called for.
