His specialty, and the reason why all his friends call him Fizzer, is his ability to identify different soft drinks. Fizzer can tell the difference between Coke out of a can and Coke out of bottle, between Coke from a 2-litre bottle and Coke from a 1.25-litre bottle.

When Fizzer fails to correctly identify ordinary Coca-Cola he soon realises that the problem is with the Coke, not his talented tastebuds. He and his friend Tupai White point this out to the giant corporation's Auckland offices, a move that takes them to the other side of the world.
