One night Willy meets a strange chimp wearing oddly old-fashioned soccer clothes. They play together and then the chimp gives Willy his soccer boots.
Although the other players are not initially impressed by Willy's boots, his playing is so good he is picked for the team. Willy is convinced the boots are magic. However, the "magic" is all Willy's own, and he is set to lead the team to glory.
