We came here because we were curious about the Naked Breakfast we'd seen advertised in a guide to Auckland cafes.
Parking was a breeze, with plenty of spaces around.
We walked in and immediately thought yum - as we spotted the specials board advertising gingerbread and white chocolate lattes. The cafe is large and welcoming and a covered patio gave a nice summery feel on a not-so-summery day.
The most unusual thing on the menu was, sadly, not the Naked Breakfast, which turned out to be fairly tame. In fact, nothing was particularly out of the ordinary, but some names were interesting.
We ordered the special lattes ($4) - absolutely divine and tasting just like gingerbread - fritters from the brunch menu ($15) and eggs benedict from the breakfast menu ($14). The stack of fritters came with bacon, topped with avocado and salsa. The eggs benedict was a fine example, with the wholegrain hollandaise making it just that bit more special. A cappucino and a flat white followed - to see if they lived up to the lattes. The service was attentive and friendly.
The coffee was good and the gingerbread lattes even better.
We recommend if you come here you check out the specials board at the entrance and the coffee roasting machine swirling beans around.
Overall we thought this would be worth a return visit - if only for the gingerbread and white choc lattes.
