Actress Liz Hurley is to a host a TV competition to find the next big name in fashion design. Project Catwalk aims to give 12 aspiring designers the opportunity to try and break into the industry. At the same time, 12 budding catwalk models will battle it out to become the designers' muses.
The show, to air in Britain next year, will feature a panel of top industry figures who will act as mentors and judges. The 24 hopefuls will be set challenges and will face elimination from the competition each week based on how they perform.
Three finalists will then showcase their work on the catwalk during London Fashion Week next February, and the winning designer will receive money to help them launch a collection.
