I wrote a story in Viva recently about shopping online, and had a fantastic response - clearly it's something people love doing; no surprise there really.
I thought I would share with you some of the suggestions that I have been sent through, plus other virtual spaces that I have found since.
Feel free to suggest more.
Gran's Loose Change
New and old sit alongside each other in this cute online store, with a good selection of pieces for men and women each given names like the "some days I think I'm going to die from an overdose of satisfaction" tan parka and the "too much too soon" velvet skater dress. They also stock new jewellery from Neverland Jewellery and D_Luxe too.
Benah
An accessories range with a feeling of understated luxury, designed by New Zealand-born, Sydney-based Brenda Harvey. The collection that's currently available from her online store includes leather goods, bags, scarves and cashmere - some are marked down at the moment as well. Keep an eye out for the next range, which includes stand-out canvas and leather satches and totes.
Inzivil
This website is run by two sisters, and features a selection of New Zealand and Australian designers as well as a fantastic range of vintage. The pair's quirky style is reflected in their selections: pieces from Kathryn Wilson, Ellery, Twenty-seven Names and more. It's a great website to get past season designer pieces that may not be available any more on the cheap as well, with up to 50 per cent off some pieces.
Coveted
This local online store (and real-life store in Newmarket) has an edited range of pieces, including clothing, accessories, jewellery and homeware. New pieces like necklaces, garments and duvets sit alongside 'designer vintage' pieces - which at the moment includes a pair of Henrik Vibskov brogues and Marni heels.
Hansel From Basel
Not all socks are created equal you know. Hansel from Basel is a "quaint hosiery company created in Los Angeles" by Hannah Byun, who designs quirky socks and tights that I love. Piano key knee highs? Dip-dyed over-the-knee socks? Tights with kneepads? Thigh-highs with a ribbon at the top? Byun's creations are cute, a little bit different, and more importantly, high-quality. Right now she's on sale too.
As Colour
Blank basics galore: T-shirts, singlets, sweatshirts and a heavy cotton tote bag that can "hold everything from organic groceries to your volcanic rock collection or even a small marsupial".
