Singer Tom Jones has been accused by angry parents of snubbing his former primary school after he failed to back a campaign to stop its closure.
Parents at the Trefforest Primary School in South Wales, which Jones and his son Mark attended, wrote to the Valleys-born star asking for his help.
But Jones' management company replied with a brief letter saying that the star did not have enough background information about the closure to comment.
The letter reads: "Although Tom Jones respects your position regarding the school, this is a civic matter and entails undoubtedly complicated issues about which he has no knowledge."
