A Frances Hodgkins painting, Green Jug and Jade Sea, sold for $325,000 last night at a Dunbar Sloane auction in Auckland.
The work, painted in 1933-1934, cost $361,562 when a buyer's fee was added.
The record price for the New Zealand-born artist is $410,000, realised by Webb's in Auckland last month.
