Will Smith's romantic comedy Hitch charmed moviegoers for a second straight weekend, topping the North American box office with US$31.8 million ($44.53 million).
The film, a story about a dating consultant, has raked in US$90.1 million ($124 million) so far.
Keanu Reeves' thriller Constantine, a tale of a supernatural detective fighting demons, opened in second place with US$30.5 million ($42 million).
Because of Winn-Dixie, a family comedy about a girl who adopts a stray dog, debuted in third place with US$10.8 million ($14.9 million), followed by the comedy Son of the Mask with US$7.6 million ($10.48 million).
