BRISBANE - Tim and Neil Finn will arrive at Brisbane Entertainment Centre tonight unaware of what costumes they will wear for the first of Kiwi band Split Enz's reunion concerts in Australia.
Around 10,000 fans are expected to attend tonight's concert, but band percussionist and clothes designer Noel Crombie has been keeping mum about what his group will wear.
"We have no idea what they will be," band founder Tim Finn told the Courier-Mail newspaper.
"It has always been that way, getting together before the show for the grand reveal, laughing and trying on the costumes. Noel's done the sets as well and every aspect feels in place."
The Finn brothers and Crombie will unite with keyboard player Eddie Rayner, bassist Nigel Griggs and drummer Malcolm Green in their first major Australian concert tour since 1984.
"It feels so good having Malcolm there playing songs like I Got You because that's his beat," Tim Finn said.
"There will be 10,000 people here in Brisbane so it will be an electric feeling. "
Split Enz are also playing concerts in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
The Finn brothers have expressed a hope to also play concerts in New Zealand, but no dates have been set.
