More than 1000 customers are on the waiting list for their very own replica of the royal bridesmaid dress worn by Pippa Middleton to the wedding of her older sister, the Duchess of Cambridge.
The younger of the Middleton daughters wowed an international audience on April 29 when she followed Catherine down the aisle of Westminster Abbey for her marriage to Prince William.
Her figure-hugging gown designed by Alexander McQueen and estimated to have cost some £20,000 (NZ$39,057), has been imitated by department store Debenhams and is on sale for a more modest £106.
The duplicate version of the dress is made from acetate and polyester rather than the heavy crepe original, but comes complete with cap sleeves, cowl neck and covered buttons, reports British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.
Before Debenhams' Wednesday launch of the gown there were already 1000 women on a waiting list to copy the Pippa look.
