LOS ANGELES - German supermodel Heidi Klum has given birth to a baby boy in Los Angeles, and the mother and her son, named Henry, are doing well, Klum's spokeswoman said on Tuesday.
The 8-pound (3.6-kg) infant is Klum's first with British pop singer Seal, whom she married in May. She also has a 1-year-old daughter, Leni, from her previous relationship with Formula One race car manager Flavio Briatore.
Klum, 32, gained fame in the late 1990s modeling lingerie for retailer Victoria's Secret and swimsuits, notably on the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine's popular swimsuit edition.
Last year, she hosted the reality television program "Project Runway" on US cable TV network Bravo featuring 12 unknown designers competing to win an apparel contract and their own show during New York's Fashion Week.
"Project Runway" was nominated for an Emmy, the US TV industry's top awards that will be given out next week in Los Angeles. Klum's publicist said it had yet to be decided if Klum would attend the Emmys.
