The Duchess, 43, took to Instagram to tell her 1.8 million followers she was “missing my Valentine” after returning home early from the Invictus Games in Canada to look after their children Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.
The post was accompanied by a never-before-seen black-and-white image of the couple kissing over plates of traditionally American and British food.
She wrote: “My love, I will eat burgers & fries and fish & chips with you forever. Thank you for you. #lovewins. [sic]”
Her daughter’s arms were seen in the video, as well as the back of Archie’s head.
Their faces were not shown, a technique often used by social media influencers who do not wish their children to be fully in the public eye.
The children have appeared in a handful of images shared with the couple’s fans before, and featured briefly in their Netflix documentary.
When Archie was a newborn, they celebrated American Mother’s Day by posting a picture of his feet on Instagram.
The post was published hours after the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a photograph of the couple stealing a kiss in the woods as they marked Valentine’s Day on social media for the first time.
The Duke and Duchess arrived in Vancouver, Canada for the Invictus Games last Friday and put on a loving display at the opening ceremony before travelling to the resort of Whistler for the winter sports events.

Two days earlier, the Duke, 40, had spoken about the importance of having her by his side.
“To have my wife here supporting me is amazing,” he told People magazine. “I love that she’s by my side. It’s such an important piece to this whole adventure.”
Returning the love, the Duchess added to the Valentine’s Day post: “Back home taking care of our babies, and missing my Valentine, as he continues on at the Invictus Games, changing lives and reminding all of us of the power of healing and resilience through these incredible veterans and their families.”
“Beyond proud of my husband and what he’s created.”
The Duke and Duchess’s marriage has long been the subject of spurious speculation, much of which has increased in recent months as they have increasingly pursued separate work agendas.
In December, the Duke laughed off rumours their marriage was on the rocks as he addressed the rumours about his private life.
He joked during The New York Times’ annual DealBook summit that it was “hard to keep up with” the wild allegations made on social media.

“Apparently we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times,” he said.
“We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?”
However, the magazine said “everyone” it had spoken to insisted they were deeply in love. One source who worked with the couple said: “They are so hot for each other.”
They added: “Like, you know how you meet those couples where you’re like, ‘The way they’re looking at each other, I should probably not be here right now?’”
Meanwhile, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a social media post that showed the Prince kissing his wife on the cheek as they sat on a picnic blanket holding hands.
The image, accompanied in the post by a simple heart emoji, was taken from a video shared by Kensington Palace on behalf of the Princess in September, as she announced she had finished her course of chemotherapy.
She is now in remission from cancer and has undertaken numerous engagements so far this year, including visiting a prison to meet mothers and babies, and a primary school trip to the National Portrait Gallery.
The original video was shot by Will Warr in Norfolk, where the family spend their weekends and school holidays.
When it was released, it sparked comment for its personal style, with shots of the Prince and Princess kissing, their children at play, and an emotional voice-over from Catherine.
She has previously spoken of how her illness has changed her perspective, sharing how difficult it has been for her young family and remarking that it “makes you appreciate all the small things in life”.
The couple have not marked Valentine’s Day on the palace’s social media accounts before.
They have become increasingly open in their social media posts since the Princess’s illness, with the Prince sharing his love for his wife in a written message as they celebrated her birthday in January.
Then, he called her the “most incredible wife and mother”, and added: “We love you.”
The Princess allowed the palace to post similarly intimate messages for the Prince’s birthday and Father’s Day, as the Wales family continues to share occasional photographs of their lives at home.
