Gwen Stefani buys high-priced hideaway

Gwen Stefani, frontwoman of the pop/ska/rock band No Doubt, has splashed out US$15.5 million on the Beverly Hills home once owned by Jennifer Lopez.

The mansion is on a huge estate off the swanky Mulholland Drive and has tennis and basketball courts, a swimming pool and a screening room.

Stefani, who gave birth to son Kingston three months ago, says the ultra-private home is "designed for a celebrity".
