Since the movie released a few weeks ago, the gems seem to be on fans' minds, and they couldn't help but see the similarity to the Infinity Stones in the Gucci shoes.
One fan wrote that Thanos "would be in the store as soon as the shoes drop" to get his own pair.
Gucci partnered with video game developer SEGA to create the unisex sneakers that will come in six different colours.
The shoes fit with the chunky trend and feature a thick tongue on the front of the sneakers is embroidered with 'Gucci' in SEGA font. Two jewel straps also wrap along the entire shoe.
The colour options include an all-white design, black, army green and other multi-coloured varieties. The cost for the new luxury shoes will be about $1,450 ($2,080), according to one source.
But it is unclear why Gucci chose to feature SEGA in the design as the company has made no formal announcement about the collaboration.
The shoes won't come out until July, but already people online have strong opinions about the design.
Besides saying the shoes looked like they walked off the set of Avengers, people were also saying they look hastily made.
One person questioned: "What kindergarten art class recycling bin did y'all find this design in?"
While another said they could probably make the shoes themselves.
The ever-favourite 'what are those' phrase came back into full force as people tried to decide if they liked the design or not.
But not everyone was a critic of the designer shoes. Some were excited about the new design and said they would definitely consider buying a pair once the shoes were released in July.
Gucci has yet to comment on the exact date the shoes will hit stores.
