The Green Party has released a compilation CD to mark New Zealand music month.
It was produced by Wellington's Loop Recordings Aot(ear)oa and sponsored by the Greens which said the CD featured "cutting edge" New Zealand music.
The disc features tracks from Trinity Roots, Pitch Black, 50HZ, The Nomad, Barnaby from the Black Seeds, Salmonella Dub, Che Fu and others.
Green MP Nandor Tanczos said New Zealand had some of the finest musicians in the world and the CD was "full of phat beats (crct) that celebrate what it means to live in Aotearoa and what it means to be a human being".
The CD, which is also being distributed in Australia, has a statement on the party's vision for an eco-nation printed on a leaflet inside.
The disc's last track features spoken words by Mr Tanczos.
