Gong for the Who

Music legends the Who are to be given a lifetime achievement award for live music.

The Freddie Mercury Lifetime Achievement in Live Music award, created to honour the late Queen singer, will go to the Who at the inaugural Vodafone Live Music Awards in London next month.

Bands nominated for other awards include Coldplay, the Kaiser Chiefs, Take That, Pink Floyd and Depeche Mode.
