Gollum

Gollum (Andy Serkis): Is a withered, scrawny, pitiful creature who kept the One Ring for many years after finding it in the Anduin River.

He lost it to Bilbo but never loses his desire for it, which he refers to as "my preciousss".

Tortured by the lure of the One Ring, Gollum is a withered, piteous creature. Driven mad and twisted by his loss he haunts Middle-earth, searching everywhere for the only thing in the world he ever cared for, his precious.

When the Fellowship broke, Gollum tried to steal the Ring from Frodo and Sam, but ended up being their unlikely guide into Mordor.

He is leading them into a trap so he can reclaim the One Ring for himself.
