New Zealand actor Stephen Lovatt, aka Max Hoyland on Neighbours, is coming home to perform The End of the Golden Weather.
Set in 1930s, the classic coming-of-age drama was written by New Zealand playwright Bruce Mason in 1951 and performed by Mason as a one-man show throughout the 50s and 60s. In 1991 it was adapted into a film, directed by Ian Mune.
Lovatt will perform a new version of the play, directed by Mark Clare and produced by Graeme Bennett, at the Herald Theatre, Aotea Centre, July 18 to 30.
