Gisele Bundchen enhances natural beauty with make-up

Gisele Bundchen's make-up artist never tries to hide her "natural beauty".

The Brazilian model is just one of a number of fashion stars who turn to Terri Apanasewicz when they want to get ready for a red-carpet event. Apanasewicz also counts Cindy Crawford as a client and explained the process is always the same when dealing with such women. Rather than trying to hide parts of their face, she works at enhancing what is there already.

"I don't try to cover up their natural beauty with make-up; instead I use make-up to enhance their look and make them even more radiant. In most cases less is more and when you're working with the likes of Gisele, Marisa [Miller], or Cindy, most of the work was done at birth," she explained to modelinia.com.

"I like to keep skin fresh and natural; natural doesn't always mean no make-up and I really like a dewy glowing cheek."

Although Apanasewicz enjoys creating all kinds of looks with cosmetics, eyes are her favourite to highlight. She never gets bored of coming up with new shades and blending techniques which help make them pop.

It means the make-up artist is adept at hiding the dark circles and bags which plague many women too.

"Start with hydrating and moisturising the skin. Sometimes when the model is getting her hair done you can apply a great eye pad like Signs Eye Mask from SK-II. This will give her that extra boost she might need for dark circles or puffy eyes," she explained.

Although eye make-up is one of her loves, it wouldn't be the one item Apanasewicz would invest in if she had to pick her favourite. Instead she would choose something for the lips.

"If I had to just say one I think a lipstick because usually a nice lip colour can give your whole face a pick-me-up and you can also use it on your cheeks for blush in a pinch."
