We all had heroes, people or things we aspired to, when we were growing up. However when someone has a disability, the reality is that similar idols can be few and far between.
That's exactly what makes this young girl's reaction upon receiving a doll with a prosthesis like her so heartwarming.
Emma Bennet, 10, is a young Texan girl with a prosthetic leg. On June 1 she received a surprise gift from her parents; an American Girl doll which, thanks to the people at A Step Ahead Prosthetics, came complete with its own prosthesis.
The youngster was so overjoyed with her gift she burst into tears, declaring "You've got to be kidding! It's got a leg like me!"
