KEY POINTS:
Christmas is but a week away and all across the country, professionals are receiving corporate gifts from their clients, customers and suppliers.
Well, some are... Others have found themselves dejectedly empty-handed.
From iPod minis to golf clubs, the sky's the limit for some corporations, looking to impress their staff and clients.
Then there is the standard fare of beach towels, picnic blankets, umbrellas, calendars and wine.
Philanthropy appears to be a popular trend in corporate gift giving this year, with some workers receiving Oxfam goats in their name (the goats go to poverty-stricken families) or donations to the City Mission and Women's Refuge on their behalf.
But perhaps the most most prevalent and perennial trend, is the number of disgruntled workers, who receive cheap and nasty tokens of appreciation - or nothing at all.
One company's staffers received a particularly unwelcome present one year, when they received tins full of mouldy brownies thanks to a broken refrigeration unit.
Another firm's employees were left underwhelmed by their $2, company-branded frisbees and towelling bucket hats.
Pens, candles, hand cream and a packet of nuts are among the more lacklustre offerings this year.
Tell us what, if anything, you have received this year and your best and worst corporate gifts of Christmases past.
