Presentation: The future of organics and why GE is bad for New Zealand
Michelle Glogau has been involved in the organics sector since 1993.
Since June 2006 Michelle has been chief executive of New Zealand's leading organic certifier BioGro. Prior to this position, Michelle was BioGro's general manager (operations) from February 2004. During this period Michelle gained an excellent technical understanding of Organic Standards (national and international), the certification process and export market requirements.
Before joining BioGro, Michelle was a project manager at Standards New Zealand, facilitating the development of New Zealand and joint New Zealand/Australian Standards in agriculture, energy efficiency, environment and sustainability Standards. While at Standards New Zealand, Michelle successfully project managed the National Organic Standard, achieving 100% consensus of the document amongst a committee constituted of key stakeholders from the organic sector.
Michelle has a BSC in Science, BSc(Hons) in Plant Sciences and a PhD in Plant Physiology.
