Galadriel

Galadriel (Cate Blanchett): Bears one of the elven great rings of power along with Gandalf and Elrond. She lives in Lothlorien and the fellowship find help there after the Mines of Moria.

She gives Frodo a crystal phial containing the light of Earendil's star with the words "may it be a light to you in dark places, when all other lights go out."
