Actor Sam Neill and directors Peter Jackson and Roger Donaldson are just some of the local film elite donating items to be auctioned to raise funds for award-winning director Brad McGann.
McGann, who directed In My Father's Den, was recently diagnosed with cancer. However, his prescribed medication is not publicly funded, so friends and colleagues are rallying to support him.
The auction, which includes tickets to the King Kong premiere, two return trips to the Melbourne Film Festival, and a feather cloak used in River Queen, will be held at SkyCity Theatre on December 5. Come along, sip cocktails from 42BELOW, bid like mad and watch one of McGann's favourite films, Badlands. Tickets are $45 from the usual outlets.
