Renee Cornwall isn't a big fan of beer or wine, so finds cider a light and refreshing alternative.
The 25-year-old sales representative "really got into cider over summer" because it was so hot, but actually started drinking it last summer. Her favourite is Rekorderlig in the wildberry flavour.
"It's sweet and it's not harsh like other varieties," she said.
The Weekend Herald met Ms Cornwall drinking her cider of choice at Sale St bar yesterday afternoon for a workmate's leaving do.
The other women at her table were drinking wine or nothing at all, but Ms Cornwall had her $15 bottle of cider. She justified the price by saying it was like having two glasses of wine.
