KEY POINTS:
The internet is changing the face of fashion, from fashion blogs to style sites that showcase collections as they happen. But our favourite part of the online fashion revolution is online shopping. Now anyone can get access to designer labels that may only have been stocked in high-end boutiques in New York. Anna Hayes launched local shopping site inzivil.com last year with her sister Gemma, as a platform to showcase their sartorial style and support young Australian and New Zealand designers.
"There wasn't really a place you could shop for up-and-coming designers in one place," says 26-year-old Hayes, who is a buyer's assistant when she's not working on the website.
The site's style is inspired by Hayes' own, which she describes as "quite casual. A mish-mash of high and low fashion". That translates into a store that sells designer dresses alongside vintage jackets and accessories. At the moment the site stocks labels including twentysevennames, Two White Buddies and Kathryn Wilson. There is also a small range of pieces from Ellery, the label from Russh magazine's very stylish market editor, Kym Ellery (think backless dresses and PVC pants). Next season Hayes says the site will be stocking Sera Lilly and Melbourne jewellery label Victoria Mason. A new range of organic T-shirts is "in the pipeline".

Luella, Chloe, Stella McCartney and, closer to home, Australian designer Ellery and Karen Walker.
What was the last item of clothing you bought?
A $5 vintage leather jacket from a car boot sale.
What's your biggest indulgence/guilty pleasure?
Has to be clothes. I can't resist beautiful, impractical pieces and now have a wardrobe full of clothing that doesn't really work together!
What do you really want this coming season?
I am on the hunt for a pair of vintage suede loafers.
What is your beauty routine?
I use Origins skincare, as it's great for my dry skin, and M.A.C foundation and concealer.
Who or what inspires you?
The past is always a source of inspiration. At the moment I am into the early 90s mix of glamour and grunge. I'm also inspired by street fashion. There are some great style blogs out there like Facehunter, which has become an obsession.
How do you define the word "fashionable"?
Pushing boundaries and challenging yourself with new ideas and trends.
Who does the best jeans?
I have a couple of pairs of 18th Amendment jeans which I love. They fit really well, their rises are a bit higher than the average jean brand.
Your favourite shop?
inzivil of course!
What can't you live without?
Coffee. My friends and family can attest to this!
Any style icons?
Zooey Deschanel always has a cute quirky look that I admire.
Is there anything you'd never wear?
Head-to-toe black.
Personal style quirk?
Mismatching.
Most underrated item in fashion?
Vintage clothes. They are the best way to get something original on a budget.
Best city for fashion shopping in the world?
London. I get excited thinking about Topshop on Oxford St and give detailed explanations of each level to anyone who hasn't experienced the awesomeness of it!
Best way to recycle your old clothes?
Usually my sisters are more than happy to take my cast-offs.
