Friends of Keisha Castle-Hughes are concerned about the young actress following a supposed split from long-time partner Bradley Hull.
Castle-Hughes, 20, is said to have split from Hull about three weeks ago, ending their seven-year relationship.
The couple had a child together, Felicity-Amore Hull, now 3, when the Whale Rider and Vintner's Luck actress was just 17.
Hull last night denied the break-up but Castle-Hughes changed her relationship status on Facebook to "single" last month.
Friends posted messages of condolences in response, saying "I hope you're ok" and "thinking of you", while others said "this will pass" and "how exciting, FREEDOM!!! Enjoy it while it lasts".
Asked about the separation yesterday, Hull said he had "no idea" why people would question their relationship.
"We're still together. I know there are always lots of rumours in the [media] industry but we're still together."
Castle-Hughes and Hull did not spend the day together, Hull taking his daughter from his parents' address in Ellerslie to watch a movie at Sylvia Park.
After a bit of shopping, the father and daughter joined friends at the Ellerslie Sports Club for a drink.
Castle-Hughes spent her day with friends, but had a bit of car trouble.
A friend posted a message on her Facebook page, saying the actress had been "in a car crash. Priceless".
In April, Castle-Hughes told Woman's Weekly she had suffered from a drinking problem and had been seeking help to curb alcoholic tendencies.
She confessed after being snapped coming out of an Auckland meeting for alcoholics late last year.
Hull said she was still on track with staying away from alcohol.
"It helped her to talk about it. She wasn't sure at first but I think it helped her."
