AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL
The Tyra Banks empire knows no bounds. Not only is this show into its seventh series - we're getting series six here - but it's screened around the world and more than a dozen countries make their own version of the show, including China. And that's without considering her daytime chat show. Banks, who co-created and hosts this show, has hit on a winning formula as model wannabes compete in various challenges for a package that includes a modelling contract and cosmetics deals. It's like a beauty pageant but without the saccharine sentiments of "I'd like to see peace in all the world". Instead we get lines such as "If you're a bitch, don't show it". Tonight's first episode is a bit of fluff about how the show has changed the lives of previous winners Nicole Linkletter (season five), Eva Pigford (season three) and Yohanna House (season two).

Tonight he visits La Lanterna in Hertfordshire owned by 28-year-old Alex, who's also the head chef. It does modern Italian cuisine but it's nothing more than glorified spag bol. With no customers, useless staff, and a dodgy kitchen, he's about to lose it all. It's Ramsay to the rescue.
