THE WORST WEEK OF MY LIFE
Ben Miller, not to be confused with Ben Stiller (although this sounds a lot like Meet the Parents), plays out a series of cringe-inducing scenarios in the lead-up to his wedding to Mel (Sarah Alexander of Green Wing fame). Everything that could go wrong does: he hospitalises his fiancee's granny, loses the wedding ring and kills the family dog. And that's just the beginning.

SEVEN ANCIENT WONDERS
Digital technology recreates ancient history in this international doco series screening over three weeks. The first episode looks at the wonders of Greece, where science, art and religion combined to create magnificent monuments. Take a stroll through the breathtaking Palace of Knossos, stand beneath the Colossus of Rhodes, and take a seat at the original Olympic sports complex. Or tour the lost city of Atlantis, as it might have looked all those centuries ago.

THE IRON LADIES
Herald rating: * * *
True story of a Thai male volleyball team that competed in the 1996 national championships. The difference here is that the team comprised mostly gays, transvestites and transsexuals. High camp screwball comedy with a formulaic plot that shouldn't really work. Instead, it is highly entertaining. (2000)

SISTER ACT 2: BACK IN THE HABIT
Herald rating: * *
A bit of a stretch for this sequel, which even star Whoopi Goldberg wasn't too happy about appearing in. She returns to her role as Deloris Van Cartier, now a Las Vegas headliner, who is persuaded by the sisters to return to St Francis High and go undercover as the new music teacher. Lauren Hill also stars. (1993)

OUT OF SIGHT
Herald rating: * * *
Based on a crime novel by Elmore Leonard, this has George Clooney as a criminal who breaks out of prison and kidnaps the FBI Marshall (Jennifer Lopez) who has been tracking him. From director Stephen Soderbergh, it has a complex, non-linear story, relying on different colour tints to indicate different cities. Threatens to become an action movie, but never really gets there. (1998)
