French sporting fashion label Lacoste will temporarily replace its crocodile logo with ten endangered species including New Zealand's own Kakapo.
The brand will produce the same number of polo shirts corresponding to how many of each species is left alive in the wild.
To get the message across, Lacoste teamed up with International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and Save Our Species (SOS), a non-profit that channels funds from donors to existing frontline conservation and protect wildlife worldwide.
The endangered species include: The Vaquita or Gulf of California porpoise, the Burmese Roofed Turtle, the Northern Sportive Lemur, the Javan Rhino, the Cao-vit Gibbon, the Kakapo, the California Condor, the Saola, the Sumatran Tiger, and the Anegada Ground Iguana.
