Former popstar named as third NZ idol judge

The former winner of a reality TV pop music show has been named as the third and final judge for this year's season of NZ Idol.

Former True Bliss singer Megan Alatini will join veteran entertainer Frankie Stevens and radio announcer Iain Stables on the judging panel.

In 1999 Alatini was part of the Popstars reality television show which established girl group True Bliss in 1999, also featuring Joe Cotton, Carly Binding, Erika Takacs and Keri Harper.
She has also appeared in the television series The Tribe, and is married to former All Black Pita Alatini.

NZ Idol will screen on TV2 later this year.
