Carmen Electra wanted her book to empower women.
The former Baywatch beauty released her own self-help novel, entitled How To be Sexy, in 2007 and said she was keen for it to improve the self-confidence of her fellow females.
She told Regard magazine: "The message I was trying to convey is that everyone has something special about themselves they don't like, even models and movie stars and rock stars.
"Embrace those flaws and build your confidence by working out and feeling good about yourself. I wanted to help empower women. Plus after having worked with the very best hair and make-up and styling teams. I thought I would share a few secrets that I have learned along the way!"
Carmen, 39, has always been body confident and has previously said she thinks there is a "freedom" in posing naked.
