A promise made is a promise kept when it comes to Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl.
In the midst of the Beaconsfield mining disaster, Grohl promised to buy trapped miner Brant Webb a beer when he got out.
Last night, he did exactly that, raising glasses with Webb after the Foo Fighters' acoustic concert at Sydney's Opera House, reported the Sydney Morning Herald.
The promise came about in May this year, when the trapped miner requested an iPod with Foo Fighters music be passed into the mine.
Hearing of the request, Grohl sent a message to the two miners offering to buy them both a beer when they were freed.
While Webb flew to Sydney to take up Grohl's offer, fellow miner Todd Russell passed up the chance, as he was not a Foo Fighters' fan.
