Filming has begun in Wellington on the Taika Waititi's debut feature film.

Eagle vs Shark is the tale of two awkward misfits searching for love and acceptance. Written and directed by Waititi, the film follows the strange journey of Lil (Loren Horsley) and Jarrod (Jemaine Clement). She yearns for romance, he dreams of revenge.

Filming will take place at a number of sites around Wellington over five weeks, with a crew of 35.
