Film New Zealand will receive government funding of $578,000 a year for the next two years, says Economic Development Minister Jim Anderton.
He said the funding would be in the May 19 budget. Until now Film NZ has been funded on a year-by-year basis.
"The latest review of its work convinced Cabinet that greater security was needed to enable Film NZ to continue its work in domestic and overseas film and television productions," Anderton said.
