"I'm going to give you something that'll make you work. I know you can do it, Ryan! Find out about the Fibonacci cows, and give a talk to the class about them first thing tomorrow morning."

"The Fibo-which cows?" Ryan had never heard of Fibo-whatever-it-was, let alone any cows!

"I'll write it down for you." Mrs Winters wrote the words in his homework diary. "There you are - the Fibonacci cows. Find out what they are and tell us all about them."

"But ... but how will I find out? Where can I look?"

"No clues from me!" said Mrs Winters, still smiling brightly. "You've been too busy for maths all week. Now you can make up for it."

Oh dear! thought Ryan. He could see the soccer game slipping away by the minute.
