Fashion Week poised for Pamela Anderson

Will it be the ultimate wet T-shirt picture? It's bucketing down with only half an hour until Pamela Anderson is due to arrive for her Fashion Week press conference.

Cameramen are already lining up and security is lurking.

Anderson is at the Westin Hotel having her hair and makeup done and will be driven the short distance down Halsey St to the big sheds.

She's been lying low all day, since flying in this morning, a day after her design partner Richie Rich arrived. Their A*Muse show will be tomorrow's big ticket.

Rich attended the Nom*D and Kate Sylvester shows last night.

The flamboyant designer, formerly of the trash-flash New York label Heatherette, is an old friend of Anderson's and she is his muse for the eco-friendly range of swimwear and casual wear they will show tomorrow.

Anderson will take to the runway as will model Nicki Watson in what some local media are unkindly calling the battle of the knockers.

After the press conference, Anderson is reported to be attending Adrian Hailwood's show this evening.

The label's manager also arrived yesterday and with Fashion Week organisers has been arranging activities for Anderson tomorrow to ensure she takes in a bit of Kiwi culture and gets to wine and dine in the city.

She is reported to be flying out on Saturday, but we're not so sure the official word is reliable.
