MONDAY: Oh what a night! Or actually, more like, what a night then day then night again.
Monday kicked off with the mac make up team meeting at the bright and early time of 7am at Sydney's Overseas Passenger Terminal where Rosemount Australian Fashion Week is held.
My first show of the day was Nicola Finetti where the mac team used a blend of cool based taupes and browns with 'Bitter' eyeshadow - an almost electric lime green - to create a slighly blown out winged eye.
Gordon Espinet the make up director for the show had emphasised that the skin needed to be flawless and matte so we used my favourite combo of Select Cover Up concealer and Mineralize natural powder.
I am currently sitting backstage at the Michelle Jank show which has just finished - it's 9.30pm.
This show was so amazingly beautiful but quite challenging with silver leaf pressed and blended over the eyebrows.
One of the mac artists body painted black birds down a few of the girls backs, which paired with the low backed gowns looked hot!
Makeup director Noni Smith was inspired by the moonlight on water at night.... And as I leave the backstage venue I'm sure I'll be witnessing plenty of it on the Sydney Harbour outside.
Now off to the mac Gold Fever party to launch Fashion Week. ... And a 6.30am start tomorrow morning means I won't be dancing for too long!
