KEY POINTS:
TUESDSAY: After a not too late and very responsible night at the MAC gold fever party I awoke far too early to be at the Lisa Ho show in time for a 5.45am call time.
With no coffee in sight I was forced to go it alone in my attempt to wake up and apply perfect makeup at a time that is way more suited to farmers and taxi drivers.
The MAC makeup team, led by Linda Jefferies, created a simply stunning look with skin that looked flawless - like the skin we all wish we had - using MAC Face and Body foundation as the base and sculpted using MAC coppertone powder blush.
Eyes were left almost nude, curled lashes with zoomlash mascara opened the eyes but didn't detract from the outrageously precise dark lip.
When applying the lip combo of mahogany lip pencil and paramount lipstick I thanked my lucky stars that coffee hadn't been easy to find; symmetry and impossibly perfect lip-lines were essential!
We used MAC matte texture as a base on the lips for serious stay-on power.
My second show of the day, Jessie Hill, was my first show of the week to direct the makeup for.
Jessie and her team are some of the nicest and most talented people I have worked with and their direction in fashion is absolutely what I love, so the look today was right up my alley.
Music for Jessie's show was a booming mix from The Cult to Tool and the makeup look of pale matte skin and smudged black-framed eyes complimented it perfectly.
We used blacktrack fluidline blended over and under the eyes in a round shape. This made the eyes appear rounded and doll-like and by using MAC #7 false lashes in the centre only of the upper lash line, we emphasised the shape even more.
MAC Fleshpot lipstick was pressed onto the lips to minimise the natural redness and create the perfect undone mouth.
Amazingly, after a few of the early shows running behind schedule, the show ran almost on time and with no hiccups - well, except for me tripping on a black box left in the dark backstage area and almost sending my makeup flying - along with myself.
Luckily I managed to not bite the dust and made it back to the hotel in time for an early night in.
I have just finished cleaning my makeup brushes in preparation for the wool protege show that I am directing tomorrow morning.
Off to sleep... Where chances are I will be dreaming of applying makeup backstage in my PJs.
