It has been my absolute pleasure to create and curate Sunday Dress for the Herald on Sunday for more than two years. Especially as it's given me the opportunity to indulge my love of our local fashion industry. However all good things come to an end and this will be my last Sunday Dress column so I am leaving you with a celebration of my favourite things from the upcoming Spring Summer 2015/16 collections.
Think 70s-inspired fashion, feminine styling, luxury sportswear, bold orange florals and a never-ending story of prints from every possible source. Starting with taylor, I love its oversized swing coat worn with its Trinity dress, a perfect trans-seasonal piece featuring pleated panels and geometric design. Keeping it feminine are Helen Cherry's divine heavy silk dupion pieces - I've selected her ruffle-front shell top and an on-trend culotte, which are guaranteed to please. And from Kate Sylvester a stunning scalloped-hemline rose lace top worn with a timeless monochrome striped trouser.
Moving on to the first colour I discovered as I came out of the gothic overtones of my teenage years - orange. The deep bold orange of this season has its roots in the 70s but is without doubt of our time and these two beautiful floral dresses from Andrea Moore and Pardon My French illustrate this wonderfully.
As you know I adore a jumpsuit and thankfully they continue to feature in multiple collections - from Julian Danger's relaxed fit Penelope playsuit to Zambesi's ultimate sports luxe offering with rib detailing and cropped leg and sleeve.
