Charlotte Church has warned teenage girls against chasing fame and fortune.

The disillusioned millionairess has warned the thousands who dream of following in her footsteps: "Don't do it."

Church, 20, who shot to fame as a teenager with the Voice of an Angel, claims she has never sought celebrity.

But her private life and loves have eclipsed her singing career as the focus of tabloid attention since she reached adulthood.

"Being a teenager is confusing enough without having to read all these conflicting opinions about you in the press," she said.
