I couldn't help but admire the determination and sense of direction the models at Zambesi had tonight. They looked like they had places to go, a sense of direction with whip-crack strides and no time to spare.
Key elements of the collection focused on unusual and exciting colour combinations: cobalt blues, fluorescent yellow and brown were seen on one entire outfit, finished with cherry red Dr. Martens boots; while wool jackets were worn over understated and delicate sequin dresses.
With a slight 90s sportswear element, models took quick-paced stride down the runway looking every bit the Zambesi athlete, complete with striking red lips and blue eye shadow that emphasised this sporty girl with an edge (once again keyed by Senior M.A.C artist Amber D).
Dark brown track pants with fluoro yellow lining, softball t-shirts, a tailored suit in a small brown hounds tooth check and a stone coloured anorak with black fur lining in the hood were some of the standouts from the menswear; while sleeveless leather dresses and tactile skirts for women provided an aesthetic that was big on mobility and energy.
Providing its customers with good outerwear is an integral part of the label's sales for the winter season, with the show highlighting some covetable trenchcoats and peacoat styles.
