It was all about the shoulder at Stitch Ministry, with padding making hardy annual long-line cardis look fresh and giving structure to shapely knit dresses.

A standout was an inky blue 70s number that would have done Jerry Hall proud, with its deep V and diamond front panel.

Not sure why the show was called Sgt Peppers, add a decade for the wrap dresses and another one for skinny suiting. Not sure where the floaty chiffon capes fitted.

Then there were the dyed possum fur capes and possum trim bikinis, which would have made eco-friendly Pamela Anderson wince.

The best garments were Kylee Davies' stock in trade knitwear which she does well in skinny long knits and chunkier card-jackets.

Some came with epaulettes hammering home that this is the year to stand up and salute the in-vogue shouldered silhouette.
