KEY POINTS:
The Huffer crew closed Air New Zealand Fashion Week on Friday night with an outdoor show on the wharf next to the Hilton.
Inspired by fishing and the ocean, the range featured plenty of Huffer's signature wearable streetwear: think plaid prints, wearable denim, parkas and cute printed tees.
But really, was anyone looking at the clothes?
When you're sitting on a wharf praying to god it doesn't rain, while a lone "fisherman" casts off the wharf beside you and the guy behind is you smoking a joint, it is rather hard to focus on the clothes.
But, yes, it is my job, so I did - and loved what I saw.
The show was styled by Atip W, which lent to the preppy geek chic vibe. He also styled the Huffer show last year, and I think he's a great asset to the team: he makes streetwear worthy of being on a fashion week runway (I've said it before this week, a model in a pair of jeans and a T-shirt is BORING).
This range is called Free the Fish, and has lots of fishy references, namely a pastel ocean and fish print, a blue palette, and duffels worthy of the city as well as a fishing trip away.
A fantastic way to finish off the week.
