Alexandra Owen's show last year was a sculptural statement that saw her invited to show in New York next February.
This year, her show was less avante garde, but marked with the same attention to detail, quality finishing and quirky styling, including twisted leather scarfs.
Silk-wool suiting with a luxurious sheen and pin-striping was cut with an equestrian edge and styled to an inch of its aristocratic life with models draped in bridles and fox furs.
Shawl collars, including in a luscious black leather jacket, featured, as did dipped and hooped hems, cropped pants, elbox-patched sleeves, and panelled long-line slim jackets.
Black, nut-brown, taupe, and shirts in white cotton-silk comprised a tight collection that choose its own course.
Owen is not a trends-based designer and her future will be one to watch with interest.
