Ewan McGregor stars in 'Guys and Dolls'

Star Wars star Ewan McGregor returns to the London stage this week for the first time in six years to play gambler Sky Masterson in a revival of 1950s musical Guys and Dolls.

McGregor, who stars in the final Star Wars movie as Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, lost almost 13kg perfecting the show's exuberant dance routines.

He has signed up for six months in Guys and Dolls, appearing eight times a week on stage for a fraction of what he would earn in Hollywood. He told reporters stage work was more fulfilling than movies. "I needed my fix," he said.
