What's the best thing about your job?

Being my own boss and not having to cook.

What's so great about afternoon tea?

It's yummy and it won't spoil your dinner.

What's your all-time favourite cake or biscuit?

My favourite biscuit is a Belgian biscuit, and favourite cake would be lamington.

Julia Childs.

What do you like to drink with cake?

You can't go wrong with a good coffee.

What's your favourite cookbook?

Barbara Cartland's The Romance of Food and Living and Eating by John Pawson and Annie Bell.

Any rules for taking afternoon tea?

No.

The best cake you've ever had?

The macaroons I ate in Paris.

Should afternoon tea be served on Mum's best china or plain white?

Best china - break into the china cabinet!

What do you eat when you can't be bothered cooking?

I eat at Sri Pinang on K Rd.

What are your three favourite ingredients?

Tinned white beans, basil and balsamic glaze.

Is there anything you wouldn't eat?

Mutton.
