The Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show starts this Thursday (June 2) and runs through to the end of Queen's Birthday Weekend at the Auckland Showgrounds in Greenlane. Opening times are from 10am to 6pm daily, with two late nights (until 8pm) on Thursday and Friday.
Tickets cost $15 for adults and $6 for children under 14.
A range of marine products from New Zealand and around the world will be exhibited in 13 pavilions.
Displays include the latest trailerboats, launches, outboards, inboards, PWCs, marine electronics, accessories, fishing equipment and dive gear.
A series of free seminars on how to get in to boating and how to catch fish will run at regular intervals.
Gate prizes include an $80,000 "holiday of a lifetime" and three Zodiac inflatable consolation prizes. Patrons with a show advertising flyer will have the chance to win a Yamaha VX Sport WaveRunner worth $20,000. The flyer will be inserted in this Wednesday's Herald.
RAYGLASS BUYS RAIDER MOULDS
Rayglass Boats has bought the moulds for Aquapro's Raider range of ribs.
Rayglass managing director, Tony Hembrow, says the company is evaluating whether it will produce all the Raider cabin boat models or just a select few.

The second round in the RNZYS's MRX Match Racing Series will be sailed today.
Ponsonby Cruising Club continues its Ladies' Winter Series today. The series will be sailed fortnightly until September 3.
Royal Akarana Yacht Club will start their second winter round on Sunday. This winter series is also sailed fortnightly.
